At nine years old, Skylar recalls sitting shotgun with her teen brother while listening to his new subwoofer speaker system after soccer practice. “Isn’t this just making the air vibrate?” she asked him. This curious comment, that left her brother stunned, was an early insight into Skylar’s subtle energy-sensing abilities and future vibrational sound healing. Skylar jumped into the alternative wellness world early on at seventeen through a high school independent study on a raw foods diet. She was given the superlative, “most likely to become famous for her salad dressing” when graduating. While she still had (and has!) a chance to fulfill this condiment prophecy, her next big dive into the wellness world came through earning her 200 hr registered yoga teacher (RYT) certification in 2018, along with 100 more hours of training, while earning her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Marketing (with a minor in dance) from Chapman University in Southern California. Completely enthralled with her new love, she was overjoyed to share and speak about yoga with all her peers. These peers lovingly began calling her Yogi Sky, and thus, the foundations of Yogi Sky Wellness were born. As Skylar’s love for yoga grew, the name stuck, and she began to incorporate many other healing modalities. In 2021, she received her Integrative Nutrition Health Coach certification through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and in October of 2020 her Sound Healer certification with Pamela Robbins. It was clear now, this was about more than just the yoga practice she’d eagerly gone diving into headfirst just a few years earlier.
